Two Early 18th Century French Tapestry Border Panels

Of running oak leaf design, woven in richly coloured silk and wool of rich reds and golds. The panels now with a linen backing surrounded by a gold thread border, with fringes to either end – for use as table runners.

France, early 18^th century.
